Annual support - The Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra
The Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is Israel’s leading youth orchestra. It has been under the direction of the Jerusalem Music Centre since 2006, with the encouragement of its founder, the late Mr. Bruno Landesberg. The 140 members of the orchestra are drawn from the most promising young musicians in Israel, age 11-18, who are selected and invited to join the orchestra.
The Young Philharmonic Orchestra has several important educational and musical purposes: it enables outstanding young musicians, whose training focuses on solo playing, to discover the magic of making music together and experiencing the tremendous energy inherent in the orchestral body, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts; it gives the participants an opportunity to get to know the symphonic repertoire; it provides them with the skills needed to continue their journey and to perform in public in Israel; it instills in them motivation and enthusiasm; and at the same time it serves as an example and inspiration for all the youth orchestras and young musicians in Israel.
The donations are recognized in Israel for tax purposes according to section 46.
Tax refunds are available for donations in the US, Canada, England, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy.
