The JMC

The Jerusalem Music Centre (JMC) was founded in 1973 by legendary violinist Isaac Stern and Jerusalem Mayor Teddy Kollek, with the assistance of Yad Hanadiv (a Rothschild foundation) and the Jerusalem Foundation.

Outstanding Young Musicians

Through our unique position as an independent organisation, not tied to any one location or institution, the JMC is able to offer year-round musical programmes for outstanding young musicians from all across the country.

Concerts for the community

A joint project of the Jerusalem Music Centre and the Jerusalem Foundation.

Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

The Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra provides summer and winter programmes each year for around 100 of Israel’s top young players of orchestral instruments, with a focus on studying and performing challenging symphonic repertoire
