Mila (Ludmila) Feldman - Violin\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mila Feldman was born in Kazan and studied until the age of fifteen at the Kazan Special Music School attached to the Kazan Conservatory. In 1967 she entered the Academic Music College of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of Prof. Maya Glezarova, and continued at the Moscow Conservatory with Prof. Yuri Yankelevich and Prof. Glezarova, who served as Yankelevich’s assistant. <\/p>

She returned to Kazan and from 1976 to 1990 taught at the Kazan Special Music School and at the Kazan State Conservatory. She has taught in Israel since 1991: at the conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance from 1991 to 2018, at the Academy itself from 2000 to 2015, and at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University since 2007, where she continues to teach today. From 2007 to 2015 she held all three posts concurrently.
<\/p>

Her students hold positions in leading orchestras and ensembles and teach internationally: two are the violinists of the Ariel Quartet and Associate Professors of Violin and Chamber Music at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and another is a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Others have continued their studies at the New England Conservatory, the Manhattan School of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Barenboim-Said Akademie, with teachers including Miriam Fried, Pinchas Zukerman and Mihaela Martin. <\/p>

They have appeared as soloists with orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra, the Rishon LeZion and Ashdod symphony orchestras, the Israel Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra, the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica Nacional de Colombia and the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, and have served as concertmaster of the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Among their prizes are first prize at the Israel National Strings Competition, the Diploma d’Onore of the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the Kol HaMusica Young Artists Competition of the Israel Broadcasting Authority, and the Paul Ben-Haim and Clairmont competitions. Many hold scholarships of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and the Ronen Foundation, and perform on fine instruments loaned from Israeli collections.
