He has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the European Community Chamber Orchestra, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, The New York String Orchestra, The Harmonices Mundi Orchestra Linz, the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, and the Salzburg Kammerpilharmonie. As founder of the SoLaRe String Trio, which won first prize in the Netherlands Impresaariat Chamber Music competition, he has performed throughout Europe and the USA in prestigious venues such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Herkules Hall Munich, the 92nd St. Y New York, and the Herbst Theater in San Francisco.  <br \/>Carmeli currently serves as a senior lecturer of viola and chamber music teacher at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance, while also holding a position as chamber music teacher and conductor at the Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste (UDK) &#8211; Julius Stern Institute in Berlin.
